Biodynamic Cardiovascular Therapy; Part 1 of 2

This course is about embodied wholeness and compassion through awareness of the Fluid Body, the heart and vascular system. Students will deepen perception only with Primary Respiration and stillness. This is an evolution in Craniosacral Therapy called Cardiovascular Craniosacral Therapy. This approach is to sense the health of the Fluid Body, cardiovascular and nervous systems in one’s self first and then the client. Health is the exclusive perception of Primary Respiration and stillness in self and other. Faster rhythms will not be approached.

Technique: The body scan, variations of the Vascular Tree, Bilateral Anterior Artery, Facial Artery, Transverse Facial Artery and Maxillary Artery, the Abdominal Aorta and Subclavian and Carotid Arteries. Students will learn to balance the lungs and the left ventricle of the heart.

Level Five will be a comprehensive review of all previous levels. An in-depth study of myofascial lines in the body through the eyes of Tom Meyers, Anatomy Trains & Serge Paoletti.

This is a five-part course, however, each level can be taken as a stand-alone class. All levels must be completed to earn a Certification. This certification, and the manual you will use, is the work of Ida Rolf but has been modified by myself and Dr. Shea for the contemporary client. This is function work using a technique that is direct, uses movement and holistic therapeutic skills, for clinical effectiveness. Students will learn theory and application, fascial anatomy, contact skills, treatment strategies, a typical myofascial release session, and indications and contraindications. If students commit to certification other commitments will be discussed.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy 2 of 2

Level 2:1 required for registration

The focus of this course is to learn to distinguish the importance of Primary Respiration and its movement in the fluid body. The fluid body is the sum of all the different types of fluids in the body and is over 90% of the human body. The student continues to learn to sense Primary Respiration in his or her own body first and then the client. Primary Respiration is a foundation of health and compassion in the human body.

Understanding and perceiving the five layers of the biodynamic process will be the clinical focus. Orienting, Synchronizing, Attuning, Disengaging, and Igniting represent the states of perception associated with both the stillness of the midline and Primary Respiration in the whole. An introduction to the dynamic morphology of the human embryo will be explored theoretically and with table work.

Students will learn to move their attention through four zones of perception. This starts with the practitioner's body, the space immediately around their body, the office space and the natural world outside the office. This practice establishes a three-dimensional wholeness for both the practitioner and the client with and without contact with the hand. It is called a "cycle of attunement" and is crucial to the healing process.

Level One: 20 CE Hours - This is a five-part course, however, each level can be taken as a stand-alone class. All levels must be completed to earn a Certification. Students will also be required to successfully complete an open-book written final, a graded practical on the instructor or assistant, and complete four practice sessions in between each level. Students will need to bring sheets, a notebook for taking notes, and an anatomy book (Trail Guide is recommended).

Myofascial Release originated from the osteopathic community in the early 1950s.

To register for any CE classes, use the form on the CE page or contact Tamara Bivin by phone: Office 618-239-6400.
